Clemson Strategy and Personnel
OT Barry Richardson -- Richardson was a four-year starter for the Tigers and earned numerous postseason honors. He certainly has the size (6-7, 338) but he hasn't delivered on a consistent basis. That could knock him down to the draft's second day.
OG Chris McDuffie -- Another O-lineman with good size (6-5, 330), McDuffie looks to be another late-round pick. He played defense early in his career.
ROSTER REPORT:
--WR Jacoby Ford, who went out with a broken ankle on Oct. 27, expects to take part in non-contact drills in the spring. Ford not only is a big-play threat on offense but also is a valuable weapon on return teams.
--LB Antonio Clay is not enrolled for the spring semester but the Tigers are hopeful he will return in the fall, just as he did a year ago. Clay's sister was killed in an automobile accident just before the 2006 season, and it has affected him emotionally ever since. Clay returned last fall after sitting out spring drills and played in all 13 games for the Tigers, including a start in the Chick-fil-A Bowl against Auburn.
--LB Brandon Maye, who redshirted as a freshman last season, was the subject of reports he was considering transferring when he returned home to Mobile, but the Greenville (S.C.) News reported Maye was back in class after going to his hometown's Mardi Gras celebration.
